Blackson has been a comedy performer for 20 years in all forms of film, TV and stand-up comedy. He immigrated to America in the late ’80s. He lived for three years in northern New Jersey, and then moved to Philadelphia, where he became his dream of being a comedian.
Michael began his comedy journey by doing stand-up at local open-mic clubs across Philadelphia. During one of the comedy shows, he was seen by one of the famous rappers, Ice Cube.
This was his breakthrough in acting when he was asked to play the role of Angry African Man in the movie called Next Friday.
He released a comedy sketch CD in 2005 called Modasucka: Welcome to Africa. He appeared on music videos “Bad Boys” and ” I’ll Be in the Sky” in 2010. He played a role in the TV show “Are We There Yet?” and also featured in Akon’s official “Wakonda” music video in 2019.
